Islamabad: Prime Minister Pakistan Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, in his written reply the Supreme Court of Pakistan, has clearly said that letter against the President Asif Ali Zardari could not be written to the Swiss authorities.
The Attorney General Irfan Qadir on Tuesday submitted the PM’s reply in the apex court.
In the reply, the prime minster said that he was bound to follow his cabinet’s decision, adding that his cabinet has not decided yet to write letter against the president.
The premier mentioned that option 2 of the apex court, regarding contempt proceeding against the prime minister, was not available after the new contempt law.
The Supreme Court will carry out its proceedings on July 25.
Six Options:
1. To initiate the contempt of court proceedings against the Chief Executive and the Secretary Law for not implementing the NRO verdict.
2. To declare the chief executive ineligible from the membership of the Parliament.
3. The court may form a commission to get the verdict implemented.
4. The people themselves decide on the issue and the court exhibit patience.
5. Contempt proceedings against Chairman Nab may be initiated.
6. The action may be taken against President for violating the Constitution.
