Islamabad: Pakistan Minister for Railways Haji Ghulam Ahmad Bilour on Thursday demanded 400 new locomotives and offered himself for any punishment if he failed to overcome to ongoing crisis in the organization.
While speaking during the meeting of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Railways, Bilour hold Waqar Masood khan, the Secretary Finance, responsible for the whole railway crisis. He said that Khan had not provided the funds approved by the cabinet.
“I have protested and threatened to resign as minister against non-provision of funds but I was not provided fund,” he added.
He told the committee that India has 8300 locomotives while Pakistan has only 127 engines, adding that India had not made motorway but improved its railways.
