Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has sent a letter to Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, applauding India’s decision to restore cricketing relations with Pakistan.
Media reports said on Wednesday that the letter was sent through Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi.
The president expressed best wishes for the Indian prime minister and the people of India.
He said the decision to restore cricket would help boost bilateral relations. Resumption of cricket is a significant move in improving bilateral relations between both the countries, he said.
The president recalled that he and Mr Singh had discussed the prospect of restoration of cricket during his visit ti India.
