Karachi: At least eight people have been killed in the outgoing violence in Karachi here on Wednesday, taking the death toll to 118 during the month of July.
According to reports, the killings took place in different parts of the city.
A man was killed in Liaquatabad Number 10 area when two armed riders wearing helmets, opened fire on a man.
Unidentified men opened indiscriminate fire in Mominabad Bazaar in Orangi Town, killing one and injuring two others. According to reports the man was identified as Shams, an owner of confectionery shop.
A policemen was gunned down and two other injured in Pak Colony area of the city.
According to a TV report as many as 109 people were killed during the last 17 days of July while 1000 were killed during the current year, including 52 policemen.
 Incidents of extortion and kidnapping for ransom also continued unabated in the commercial hub of the country while law enforcement remained completely failed in bringing peace back in city.
