Geneva: Pakistan’s envoy to United Nations (UN) Abdullah Hussain Haroon has once again resigned from his post due to his difference with the the current government of Pakistan.
According to sources, Hussain resigned from his post due to his differences with the government over certain policies and excess interference. It is for the third time that he has resigned from his post.
“Hussain resigned from his post as he wanted to support China and Russia over UN resolution against Syria, while the government wanted to support the resolution,” they said.
Haroon has handed over his responsibility to his deputy Bashir Tarar and soon he would return to Pakistan.
The ambassador has also informed Hina Rabbani Khar, Foreign Minister of Pakistan, regarding his resignation.
