Peshawar: Police on Monday raided two alleged brothels in Peshawar and arrested four men and nine women, six of whom were allegedly being forced into prostitution, The News International reported on Tuesday.
The paper said that acting over a complaint filed by a woman, the local police carried out raid Paharipura locality.
According to the newspaper Rabia had approached the senior police officers, saying she was being blackmailed for the last three years and forced into prostitution by a group in Paharipura.
The officials directed the local police to raid the two alleged brothels from where the raiding parties arrested nine women and four men. Three women were said to be members of the gang that was forcing the other six young girls into prostitution by blackmailing them through different tactics.
