Brooklyn Nets have acquired traded Joe Johnson from the Atlanta Hawks for Jordan Farmer, Johan Petro, Anthony Morrow, Jordan Williams and DeShawn Stevenson (via sign and trade), according to many sources.
All players that the Nets with the exception of Stevenson would be sending to the Hawks have expiring contracts equalling a total of approx. $12.5 million.
The Nets would also send a 2013 first round draft pick they acquired from the Rockets to Atlanta, Yad Barker reported.
Acquiring Johnson would give the Nets a face of the franchise in their inaugural move to Brooklyn if Deron Williams chooses not to return and a capable player to pair with Williams if he decides to remain with the Nets.
