Islamabad: Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf on Monday strongly condemned the firing incident at Aaj News office in Karachi and said that the culprits involved in the incident would be brought to justice.
At least two person, employees of Aaj TV, were wounded on Monday when unidentified armed men opened fire at the Aaj TV office at Gurumandir in Karachi.
The Prime Minister said that such incidents are intolerable and culprits involved in the incident should be brought to justice.
“Government will ensure the safety of media institutions at any cost,” he added.
Other leaders of PML-N, MQM, ANP, PPP and different journalists organisations also condemned the incident and demanded government authorities to arrest the people behind the attack.
