Peshawar: Afghan militants on Sunday attacked a military convoy in Upper Dir, Pakistan’s area bordering Afghanistan, resulting in the killing of at least 21 people including militants and soldiers.
According to sources, Afghan militants attacked a military convoy in Upper Dir, a district of Pakistan’s province Khyber Pakhtunkhua, killing at least 10 military personnel, while several others were left missing.
The sources further said that the security forces retaliated to attack and killed almost 11 militants in the counter attack.
It is to be mentioned here that militants from Afghanistan have attacked several times on the check-posts of Upper Dir causing causalities to security forces in the area.
