Islamabad: A 50-mmeber delegation of the Youth Parliament called on Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on Saturday.
Talking to the delegation, the CJ said the Supreme Court has authority to review laws made by the parliament inĀ case of nonconformity with the Constitution.”The SC has authority to review such laws,” he said
He said the Parliament should made laws that could be implemented, adding that every stat pillar should act within their Constitutional parameters.
The CJ said the Supreme Court was custodian of basic human rights. He told the delegation that the youth were the democratic leaders of the future.
