Islamabad: Federal minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid leader Chaudhry Pervez Elahi called on newly elected Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf on Saturday.
Speaking to media after the meeting, he said the only thing came under discussion during the meeting was power crisis griping the country.
He said that the prime minister assured him that immediate measures would be taken to overcome the power shortfall.
The minister said that Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif along with his party workers was agitating. He accused him of attacking the residence of PML-Q leader Riaz Fitiana.
Pervez Elahi said that “good news” regarding deputy prime minister would soon be given to the people, without mentioning whether he would be the deputy of Raja Pervez Ashraf or not.
