Islamabad: The Judicial Magistrate in Rawalpindi has issued arrest warrants for Pakistan People”s Party candidate for the slot of prime minister Makhdoom Shahabuddin and Ali Musa Gilani, a son of ex premier Yousuf Raza Gilani, for their alleged involvement in Ephedrine scam involving Rs 7 billion.
The warrants were issued by Judicial Magistrate Shafqatullah Khan following the end of deadline on which Qureshi was to appear before the army-led Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF).
The Supreme Court of Pakistan during the last hearing of Ephedrine case had also directed the ANF to arrest Shahabuddin.
The ANF had told the court that certain elements were creating hurdles in the investigation.
