The New York City’s Times Square in the top Facebook’s check-in site, according to a survey of check-ins on Facebook and other location apps such as foursquare that connect with Facebook.
Facebook announced today on its website its list of the “most social landmarks” in 25 cities around the world, USA Today reported.
Other top check-in spots in cities surveyed from August 2010 (when FB started place check-ins) to this May are:
Chicago: Wrigley Field baseball stadium
San Francisco: AT&T Park baseball stadium
Los Angeles: Staples Center arena
Buenos Aires: Unicenter, a giant shopping mall outside the city
Melbourne: Crown Casino and entertainment complex
Sao Paulo: Parque do Ibirapuera, a public park
Toronto: Rogers Centre stadium
Copenhagen: Tivoli Gardens amusement park
Paris: Avenue des Champs-Élysées
Berlin: Kurfürstendamm avenue
New Delhi: Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, Sikh house of worship
Dublin: The O2 concert arena
Rome: The Colosseum
Tokyo: Tokyo Dome stadium
Mexico City: Centro Histórico de la Ciudad de México main plaza
Auckland: Eden Park sports arena
Oslo: T.G.I Friday’s (Now, that’s a surprise. Why?)
