Islamabad: Central Executive Committee of the Pakistan People’s Party met President Asif Ali Zardari and chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in the chair to devise future course of action following the the Supreme Court orders of disqualifying the Yousuf Raza Gilani as Prime Minister.
Sources said the meeting discuss names of Hina Rabbani Khar, Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar, Samina Khalid Ghurki and Makhdoom Shahabuddin for new candidates for the post of prime minister of the country.
The option of issuing a presidential ordinance to retain Gilani PM also came under discussion.
The sources said the coalition partners the Awami National Party (ANP) Quaid-League and the Muttahida Qaumi Movment had assured the PPP of thier support.
