Karachi: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Fauzia Wahab passed away in a private hospital of Karachi on Sunday, the party leader Waqar Mehdi said.
Wahab had been under treatment for around three weeks due to her sudden illness and went under gallbladder surgery.
Her funeral prayers will be offered tomorrow (Monday) in Karachi, Information Minister Sindh Sharjeel Memon announced, with President Asif Ali Zardari showing his concern on Wahab’s death.
The PPP has announced to stop all its political activities for 10 days to mourn her death.
