Islamabad: Real estate tycoon Malik Riaz, whose wealth has now become talk of the town after his anti-Supreme Court campaign, even didn’t spare families of Pakistan Army martyrs, retired military officers and Jawans and , robbed them of their money.
Some of those officers and Jawans have urged Chief of the Army Staff to save them from Riaz who had looted them in the name of Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Valley scheme and deprived them of their money.
Colonel retired Muhamamd Akhtar, who served in artillery and fought in Sialkot Sector during 1971 war and whose brother flight lieutenant Malik Murtaza embraced martyrdom in the same battle, says he has invested all of his money in DHA Valley Scheme “ Now I have no money and no plot, my whole life earning has been looted,”.
Colonel retired Tariq , who previously served as Director Urban Planning DHA, says 110,000 civilians and 41,000 on-duty and retired military officers and Jawans have been robbed of their assets.
