New Hampshire: The New Hampshire Senate has agreed to hold negotiations with the House on a bill regarding contraceptive coverage in health plans.
The bill would allow exclusion of the coverage from health plans if workers are not satisfied with them on account of religious reasons. Its application would be on the businesses formed for a religious intent or owned by a religious society.
“The House added it to an unrelated Senate bill last week and requested a committee to negotiate a compromise,” AP reported.
The Senate on Wednesday agreed to negotiate after Senator Fenton Groen’s assurance to colleagues he would make sure the contraception would not be there anymore.
