New York: According to a new USA Today/Gallup poll Mitt Romney beat US President Obama on dealing with the deficit, Obama won on controlling healthcare costs and both of them got an equal response which of them better curb joblessness.
Obama led by seven points on healthcare cost while Romney held 15 points on the budget deficit and debt, according to the poll. However, on unemployment, Obama led by only one point.
14 percent more Americans see Romney as better in handling the financial performance of savings and retirement holdings and 10% more think he is more able to combat weak economic growth.
Obama led by 28 points on addressing the poor, by 16 points on how to deal with the consolidation of wealth and by 15 points on education cost controlling.
Romney accused Obama administration’s spending on Friday of its own “bridge to nowhere”.
The USA Today/Gallup poll was conducted between May 10-13 among a random sample of 1,012 adults with a margin of error of plus or minus 4 points.
