Islamabad: Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that Pakistan is looking forward for a US apology over cross border attack on its check-posts.
He was addressing a joint press conference along with Pakistani counterpart Yousuf Raza Gilani after bilateral talks on Tuesday.
The Turkish leader said that resumption of Nato supply routes was an internal matter of Pakistan and he would not comment on it.
He also declined to comment on relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan. Erdogan said that both Pakistan and Turkey stood by each other in difficult times.
“Pakistan and Turkey have signed 100 agreements ” he said. The Turkish Prime Minister said that an opposition should play a constructive role. He applauded Pakistan opposition and went on cracking a joke regarding opposition, saying Turkish opposition says ceiling is white when the government says ceiling is black.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan said he would meet Nawaz Sharif to get his point of view.
Replying a query regarding troops drawdown from Afghanistan, he said Turkish troops would present in the war torn country until they are asked to withdraw.
Erdogan said that troops withdrawal might be delayed beyond 2014.
