Islamabad: The Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed Ali Musa Gilani’s plea, seeking replacement of investigation officer Brig Fahim of the Anti Narcotics Force.
An SC bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry was hearing Ephedrine scam case also involving Ali Musa Gilani, a son of Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani.
Brig Fahim told the court that SC’s orders regarding the case were not being implemented. He said that names of suspects were not put on Exit Control List (ECL) and some suspects had managed to flee the country.
He said that the FIA and Secretary Narcotics Zafar Abbas Luk were meddling in the investigation.
The court also issued notice to Zafar Abbas Luk and ordered Fahim to ensure transparent probe and avoid vilifying anyone.
