Lahore: A Banking Court has ordered auctioning property of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf Lahore President Mahmudur Rasheed on default of Rs. 3 million.
In a petition to the banking court, Faysal Bank stated that PTI president took a loan of Rs. 3 million against a shop at Iqbal, a modern area of Punjab’s capital, quoted Daily Nai Baat on Saturday.
PTI is already going through an internal rift after announcement of party polls by the chairman Imran Khan particularly in Punjab province.
After hearing the opinion of both side, the court appointed an auctioneer who would arrange bidding process and file the report back to the court.
“This is a baseless allegation against me as I have not taken any loan from any bank,” Mahmudur Rasheed noted.
“This is a cheap tactic from my political rivals and totally baseless,” he added.
