Lahore: Amir (chief) of Jamat e Islami Pakistan, the country’s largest religious political party, has hinted at forming electoral alliance with Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf.
“”JI is more closer to PTI when we look into the matter from electoral point of view,” Syed Munawwar Hasan said in a convention of his party’s proposed candidates for next general elections.
“Many of our candidates have suggested to develop electoral ties with Tehrik e Insaf as no single party is in position in the country to win elections at its own,” he said while addressing at party’s headquarter Mansoorah.
Later talking with media, Syed categorically said that we did not accept any convicted prime minister.
“We do not hope that Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani would resign voluntarily from the post of prime minister.”
JI chief say Pakistan Muslim League ‘s Nawaz Sharif is not a trustworthy person and he has not approached us so far to run any anti-government movement.
