Lahore: Pakistan’s Defence Minister Ahmed Mukhtar on Sunday said that if the Nato will not be given a passage for supply than it will be a violation of international laws.
Talking to the media in Lahore, the minister said that Pakistan had asked US for several times that drone attacks were counterproductive, adding they had also asked US to conduct these attacks jointly with Pakistan.
“US is not ready to jointly fire drones,” he said.
Reply to a query about Siachen issue, Mukhtar said that it was difficult to resolve the issue at this point of time as India was at strong position at the site.
The minister said that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) was all along with the prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani on the contempt of court issue and an appeal would be filed after the announcement of the detail judgment.
Referring to the PML-N movement against PM Gilani, he said his party (PPP) had not asked the PM to resign.
He said that the democratic system should continue and there shouldn’t be any deadlock in it.
