Islamabad: If you are a VIP personality in Pakistan, you have permission from Federal Interior Ministry to drive tinted glass cars which are otherwise strictly prohibited in the country.
Currently 250 VVIPs of the country have been allowed by Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik to use tinted glass vehicle on basis of ‘security’ and ‘medical’ purposes , Pakistan’s Largest Bilingual News Website The News Tribe learnt.
The personalities enjoying this immunity include federal minister Ahmed Mukhtar, Khaursheed Shah, Shaukatullah, Deputy Speaker Faisal Karim Kundi, state ministers, members of provincial and national assemblies, son of religious leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman, ANP Asfand Yar Wali, Chairman Public Accounts Commitee Nadeem Afzal Chan.
The list also include names of friends and relatives of parliamentarians, generals, officials of secret agencies and even travel agencts, common people and property dealers.
The list came at a parliament hearing on how many people are enjoy facility of tinted glass cars by Rehman Malik.
The minister was of the opinion, despite strict prohibition of using tinted window vehicles in the country, some security concerns and medical reasons compelled the ministry to issue such permissions.
