Lahore: Pakistan Ambassador for Peace Malala Yousufzai sees youth to be a key element in uplift of the country in future and advises them to join politics for this cause.
“Leadership can’t be seen in the country as masses are suffering from poverty, inflation and joblessness,” the national-award receiver girl from Sawat said in an interview.
Malala received international peace award last year on working for education of girls in restive valley of Swat.
“I can’t see any leader who is capable of resolving issues that is being faced by Pakistan,” Malala noted in a shaky tone.
“It is youth of the country who can meet the uphill task of rebuilding Pakistan and for this purpose they should join national politics.”
Peace ambassador advised youth that there was no need of being disappointed on the current sitution.
“Pakistan youth should focus on their academic as only an educated Pakistan could be an adobe of peace and power,” she further noted.
“I would rather suggest to impose educational emergency in the country.”
Covering her header with traditional Pakistani Scarf or ‘Dupatta’, Malala Yousufzai is seen as a strong voice for girls right to education in Pakistan.
“I would soon announce setting up Malala Education Foundation which would take measures for essential education for girls across the country,” she revealed.
“Other focus of the foundation would to pursue children working as domestic servants in houses.”
Only a school girl sharing her dream about futures, Malala looked determined about her future plans.
“I am a student of IX class in my father’s school at Swat Valley and I am trying my level best to get top position in board exams.”
“There is no shortcut for success and the only way to success is hard work.”
