Karachi: Minister for Education and Literacy directed Secretary Education to take stern legal action against those who are involved in fake appointments in Education department.
In a statement issued here on Saturday, the minister said that the present democratic government will never make any one jobless, on the other hand it is committed to provide jobs to deserving people on merit basis.
It is stated he has taken serious notice regarding fake appointments and news regarding their dismissal. He has directed to Secretary Education to bring all records before him in this regard and take action against involved officers of the department irrespective of their posts. He said that a mechanism had been developed in Sindh Education Department to eradicate corruption and fraud and to maintain transparency.
He said that Education department believed in maintaining merit and transparency in all matters and matters were gradually becoming better in the department with the passage of time. He said that he would never tolerate corruption and incompetency in his department.
“I have constituted a committee to look into the matter and it will submit its report soon,” he added. He said that teaching and non teaching staff of Education was the backbone of the department and no irregularity could be tolerated.
