Lahore: Young doctors continued complete strike in Out-Patient Departments (OPDs) for seventh consecutive day in all teaching hospitals in Punjab province of Pakistan on Wednesday.
The doctors’ strike to protest against the Punjab Health Department’s decision to transfer 45 ad-hoc postgraduate trainees and post newly-selected medical officers by the Punjab Public Service Commission primarily in teaching hospitals of Lahore.
The strike is causing problems for the ailing patients while outdoors and operation theatres in public hospitals are also closed.
The young doctors’ have termed the arrest of their as revenge.
