Karachi: As Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf remains unable to accord a political deal in Sindh, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s cousin led party Sindh National Front (SNF) has decided to merge with Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) after reaching an agreement with PML-N.
The merger will make PNL-N strengthen in Sindh as SNF has legacy of Bhutto family in form of Mumtaz Bhutto.
“The announcement would be made at party president Mumtaz Bhutto’s home in the presence of PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif,” sources said.
“PML-N leader had personally offered to SNF leader to merge with PML-N and discussed the matter on more than one occasions.”
Earlier, it was also learnt that cricketer turned politician Imran Khan’s PTI had also reached SNF over merger. But Mumtaz Bhutto found it suitable to fly with Nawaz League considering its better position in Punjab, the largest province by population.
According to sources, SNF had demanded PML-N to give assurance of provincial autonomy after coming into power as per decided in 1940 resolution while various points were also the part of demands charter.
“At last it was decided that SNF would be merged with PML-n after successful dialogue between both the parties.”
Sources claimed that a ‘high seat’ would be given to SNF chief in PML-N after integration while various designations would be given on Sindh level to other leaders of the SNF.
