Karachi: Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan, the founding father of the Pakistan’s nuclear program, has agreed to patronize the Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI).
A.Q Khan said on Monday that he would not accept any office in the party instead he would render moral support for Imran Khan.
He said that Khan would have to come up with a comprehensive plan for the development and prosperity of Pakistan. “Taking two or three wickets on a single ball will no longer work,” said Qadir Khan, who is respected in Pakistan as a national hero.
The nuclear scientist said that all the political parties had destroyed Pakistan and the Tehrik-e-Insaf was a ray of hope, adding that he would lend his support for the PTI if need arose.
Last week, Imran Khan called on Dr A.Q Khan, who has been criticizing him for his campaign against Nawaz Sharif, and requested him to patronize his party.
The PTI chief had said that he would address all the reservations of the national hero.
