Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari on Saturday Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and appealed him to end boycott of Parliamentary Committee on the National Security finalizing fresh terms of engagements with regard to Pakistan’s relations with the United States.
JUI-F spokesman told media that the Maulana during the talk expressed his reservations over the bill on domestic violence against women . He said that Fazl told the president that restoring supplies was not in the interest of Pakistan.
He said the president regretted inappropriate treating of Maulana by non-election women over the issue of JUI-F opposition towards the bill on domestic violence against women. Â The president assured Fazl that action would be taken against those involved in the manhandling.
