Karachi/London: The Muutahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has announced that it would boycott joint sitting of the Parliament to which President Asif Ali Zardari is scheduled to address to mark the beginning of the new parliamentary year.
The decision was taken by the MQM Coordination Committee meeting simultaneously held in London and Karachi.
The MQM on Friday lodged protest in Sindh and National Assembly against the increasing incidents of extortion in Karachi.
The party has also supported traders Black Day to be observed on Saturday and requested the people to keep their business close to save city from extortion mafia.
