Islamabad: A high-level meeting held in the Presidency on Wednesday evening decided that parliament will have a right to make any amendment in the proposals of Parliamentary Committee on National Security.
Sources said that the meeting attended by President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani had discussed the matters of national security including relations with United States.
The meeting has decided that the parliament will make a final decision regarding the restoration of Nato supply, the sources said. They added that Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar, director general ISI and the army chief briefed the meeting.
The relations Pakistan and United States have been buffeted by several crises since last year, including the killing of Osama bin Laden in Abbottabad and US attack on Pakistani troops in Salala checkpost.
