Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Spokesman Pervaiz Rasheed on Sunday rejected the allegations by Younis Habib and said that the banker was a President Asif Ali Zardari’s man.
According to a handout issued by PML-N here, Rasheed said that Habib was incriminating PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on the directives of the president.
The handout states that the allegations on the PML-N leaders were baseless, adding that instead of providing evidences before the court Habib was conducting trail through media against Sharif brothers.
“Nation knows how Younus Habib became head of a bank,” Rasheed added.
Rasheed further said that people were lying for 20 years that Nawaz had taken money.
It is to be mentioned here that different political leaders were charged of receiving money from ISI in the Mehran Scandal case being heard at the Supreme Court.
