Karachi: The sixth nationwide Toyota “Dream Car Art Contest” was concluded today after 3rd regional event of the contest in Lahore.
Over 290 schools including schools for special children across the country participated in this nationwide contest organized by Indus Motor Company (IMC).
A total of 27 art works, 9 from each region (Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore), have been selected out of approximately 12,000 entries by children under categories of less than 10 years, 10 to 12 years and 13 to 15 years.
Out of the 27 regional winners, best 15 shortlisted art works will be sent to Toyota Motor Corporation, Japan for inclusion in the World Dream Car Art Contest.
CEO Indus Motor Company, Parvez Ghias said that IMC has been organizing the “Dream Car Art Contest” for last six years to promote creativity and to give opportunities to children to express their dreams.
He said that this programme is a part of the global Toyota initiative aimed at developing Toyota brand awareness, affinity and association among young people who use their imagination to draw a “Future Dream Car”.
He vowed that Indus Motor Company will continue to hold this kind of contest for promoting creativity and for giving opportunities to Pakistani children to express their dreams.
The final World Dream Car Art Contest will be held in Japan in the mid of June 2012. Over 120,000 art works are expected to be received in the world contest from 80 countries across the globe.
Finally, 30 best art works would be selected in the world contest and their creators will be invited to Japan.
