Lahore: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has appointed former Test cricketer Iqbal Qasim as a new chief selector.
The decision was taken by the Chairman PCB Zaka Ashraf after interviewing the members of selection committee during the meeting of the PCB governing body.
Sources said that Iqbal Qasim was appointed as chief selector after the resignation of chief selector Mohammed Ilyas due to intervention of PCB in the affairs of selection of Pakistani team.
The selection committee would consist of Azhar Khan, Farrukh Zaman, Asif Baloch and Saleem Jaffer.
