Islamabad: Research in Motion (RIM) denies access to the BlackBerry data between Hussain Haqqani and Mansoor Ijaz, sources said on Tuesday.
The sources said that the Black Berry company, RIM rejected the application of government of Pakistan to provide records of communication between Mansoor Ijaz and former Pakistani ambassador to the US Hussain Haqqani.
The government received the rejection letter of RIM Company on Monday.
The RIM Company also rejected to provide information regarding letters of Mansoor Ijaz to the Company.
RIM informed the Pakistani government that under its privacy policy, it could not release the data without a formal request made by the customers who were involved in the communication.
The attorney general of Pakistan on the orders of commission probing memogate wrote letter to the RIM Company in order to provide records of communication between Mansoor and Haqqani.
