Karachi: Federal Secretary Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) Imtiaz Inayat Elahi on Saturday said Pakistan and Turkey are tied in the religious and cultural bonds which should be further strengthened.
He said that government as well as masses value multidimensional relations with Turkey which would by further cemented by the passage of time.
Turkey is promoting education in Pakistan by establishing quality institutes and holding different competitions aimed at enhancing the level of Pakistani students and preparing them to compete in the international events, said Imtiaz Inayat Elahi.
Speaking at the prize distribution ceremony of the 7th Inter Schools Mathematics Olympiads (ISMO) at PakTurk International School and College at Chak Shehzad, he said that brotherly country is helping Pakistan become a strong and progressive state.
There was a need to adopt the dynamic changes in the field of education, he underlined.
Mr. Elahi distributed cash awards of about 0.4 million among the top 20 position holder students of each category.
According to the results, Raja Shahmir Ahmed clinched first position in class 5 category, Aysha Abid stood first in the victory stand of class 6 category, Muhammad Owais secured first position in class 7 category while Masana Ahmed stood first in class 8 competition.
The cash prizes for the first three positions were Rs. 30,000, 20,000 and 10,000 respectively for class 5, 6, 7 and class 8 categories. Moreover there were 7 prizes of Rs. 2000 and 10 prizes of Rs. 1000.
Earlier, Principal PakTurk Ebubekir Haspolat said that we have been striving to provide superior education to Pakistani youth since 1995. Along with other activities we pay special consideration to the subjects which are considered to be boring and tedious.
He informed that in 2013, an ISMO will be arranged on national level where participation of more than 15,000 students is expected.
