Dera Ismail Khan: Unknown assailants hurled a bomb at a residence of local journalist on Wednesday.
According to reports, the assailants threw a bomb at a house of Saeedullah Khan Marwat, a senior correspondent of Pakistan’s leading news channel Geo News, but, luckily could not exploded.
Police and bomb disposal squad rushed to the spot and defused the bomb. It was yet not clear whether it was hand grenade or any other bomb.
Several journalists have been killed in insurgency stricken Pakistan. The Human Rights Watch in a recent survey has also declared Pakistan a dangerous place for journalists.
