Lahore: In an historic visit to boost Pak-India trade ties, India’s Minister for Commerce and Industry Anand Sharma reached Pakistan through Wagha Border on Monday where he was was received by Pakistan’s trade Minister, Amin Fahim.
While talking to media at Wagha, Sharma said that he was thankful to Fahim for inviting him to visit Pakistan. He said that dialogues between both neighbouring countries would help to improve the relations.
“India has supported Pakistan in European Union for the trade relief in Europe,” Sharma said.
He said that both the governments had decided to co-operate each other in trade and economy. He added that the problems between both the neighbours would be resolved soon.
Sharma said that construction of ‘trade gate’ at Wagah Border would be completed till April 30 this year.
Sharma, leading a delegation of over 100 business leaders, would also sign trade agreements between Pakistan. The delegation is likely to meet Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani during the four-day visit.
