Karachi: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Monday said Prime Minster Yousuf Raza Gilani should resign from his post after indictment with contempt charges.
Talking to media in Karachi, Khan said that PTI was standing with the Supreme Court to implement the orders.
He said, “What moral justification does Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani has after being indicted?”
“It is a duty of court to decide who is involved in terrorism,” he said. Khan said that democracy is governed by “morality, not force,” as force “remains with the armed forces.”
He said PM Gilani had committed contempt to safeguard the Rs5 billion of Asif Ali Zardari.
