Karachi: Deputy Director Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Akbar Baloch has said that Efroze Chemical has been sealed on the directives of Interior Minister Rahman Malik, adding that the raw materials which were bring used for the manufacturing ISOTAB, the tablet that caused the deaths in Punjab, has been confiscated.
Talking to media after sealing the company on Wednesday, Baloch said that they have sealed off the factory for 14 days and added that further actions would be taken after receiving the test report from London.
Responding to query, he said that FIR would be registered after receiving laboratory tests’ report, adding that the arrests would be made after the reports.
He said the FIA had taken 49 kilogram raw material into custody. “9.2 million Tablets were supplied to social security and Punjab Institute of Cardiology,” he said.
