Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has rejected a plea seeking to record Mansoor Ijaz’s statement abroad.
A nine member bench of the apex court was hearing the plea. Ijaz’s lawyer Akram Sheikh had filed the petition.
Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry remarked that the application to record Ijaz statement could be filed in the memo commission.
Justice Saqib Nisar told Akram Sheikh he wanted to spark more chaos in the country. Sheikh said he was not doing so.
Mansoor Ijaz refused to come to Pakistan due to security reasons.
