Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari on Monday summoned National Assembly to meet on Wednesday February 1, 2012.
This will be the 39th session of the lower house of the parliament. Many important issues including legislation are to be taken up by the house. The 20th Constitutional Bill, which has been approved by the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs on Monday, is likely to be presented in the house for approval. The constitutional amendment bill is aimed at giving constitutional cover to the by-election held under the Election Commission of Pakistan, which was not constituted as per the 18 amendment.
