Dadu: Around 400 government schools have been closed in Dadu, home town of Pir Mazhar-ul-Haq, education minister of Sindh.
According to sources, more than 400 schools have been closed since floods and heavy rains hit different areas of Sindh last year.
The sources said that non-teaching staff has been taking salaries without coming to schools.
The sources further revealed that around 200 schools have been turned into cattle farms.
District coordinator officer (DCO) Dadu Dr. Niaz Abbasi said that floods and heavy rains destroyed the infrastructure of the area and these schools became shelters for the homeless people.
He further said that parents should lodge complains to relevant authorities to get restore the system.
