Abu Dhabi: The second test match between Pakistan and England will start from tomorrow (Wednesday) and Pakistan eyeing 2-0 lead in the series against the World No One test team.
With a stunning win in under three days in the first Test under their belt, Pakistan will be looking to keep the pressure on the England and a draw will suit them.
England have been working overtime to solve the Saeed Ajmal riddle for the second test after being baffled by the Pakistan spinner in the opening match in Dubai.
The first-ever Test here between Pakistan and Australia here ended in a draw but the Proteas recovered from 33 for three to end up posting a mammoth 584 for 9. Similarly against Sri Lanka, the first day saw islanders being bowled out for 197 though the next two innings produced nearly a 1,000 runs.
The Sheikh Zayed Stadium staged only two Tests and both finished in high-scoring draws. Pakistan and South Africa have both scored more than 500 in their first innings here so Andrew Strauss and Alastair Cook, in their 100th innings together as an opening pair, have every chance to reach the landmark in style.
Fast bolwer Chris Tremlett will not play in the second test after suffering a stiff lower back.
