Oslo: Norway’s internal security chief Janne Kristiansen has resigned after revealing confidential information that the country had intelligence agents in Pakistan, news agencies reported on Thursday.
Reports said, Norway’s internal security (PST) chief told a parliamentary hearing on Wednesday that the country had operatives in Pakistan.
However, she did why the agents were deployed in Pakistan.
According to reports, PST head Janne Kristiansen had informed the justice minister that she would resign from the post.
Reports said Kristiansen made the comments in reply to questions on whether Norway should have contacts with Pakistani intelligence.
She said the intelligence agency operated by the Norwegian armed forces, the E service, already worked in Pakistan.
