Lahore: There seems a security lapse at Wagah border as Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has no record of Indian transporters who comes with trade goods carrying vehicles, report said.
The reports said about 250 to 270 trucks daily entered Pakistan but there was no record of the drivers and conductors’ available with immigration officials or other agencies.
The lapse extends the fear of entering terrorists in the guise of transporting staff in Pakistan.
“FIA immigration staff had written many letters to officials stating that rangers or NLC officials were not providing them any identification documents of drivers and conductors as a result FIA officials could not maintain their arrival and departure record,” report said.
