Islamabad: A fresh survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan has revealed that views are divided regarding the causes of flu. 58% attribute it to cold weather and 42% to infection.
A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked “In your opinion why does flu or fever happen?”
Responding to this 58% believe flu and fever usually happen because of cold, 23% believe due to some infection, 19% believe that flu and fever happens particularly due to throat infection, 2% believe due to over exposure to extreme weather whereas 2% believe that it happens due to the upset stomach. However 1% did not give a view.
