Islamabad: The judicial commission, probing memogate, have asked the government to issue visa to Mansoor Ijaz as he was a witness in the case.
A meeting of the commission headed by Balochistan High Court Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Esa is underway in Islamabad. Ijaz’s counsel Akram Sheikh said visa was not issued to his client. On this, Qazi Faiz Esa said they had earlier asked for issuance of  visa and other facilities to Mansoor Ijaz as he was a witness in the case.
Akram Sheikh told the commission that his client wanted fool proof security. Attorney General Maulvi Anwarul Haq told the commission that security will be provided to Ijaz if he came to Pakistan.
Pakistan former Ambassador to US Hussain Haqqani also appeared before the commission. His counsel Zahid Bokhari said that his security be increased.
The commission directed AG to increase security for Hussain Haqqani. Hussain Haqqani told the commission that first Mansoor Ijaz had to prove links of BlackBerry messages to memogate.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif also appeared before the commission.
Talking to media after appearing before the commission, he said that memo was a first such case in the history of Pakistan. He said was not going to blame anyone for it, but, he wanted to unveiled the conspiracy against the country.
