Islamabad: Chie Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has remarked that path to military courts have been closed in the country and nobody should have any misconception in this regard.
The remarks came as a nine-judge bench of the apex court resumed hearing into the Bhutto case.
During the hearing the CJ told federation’s counsel Babar Awan there were 300 prisoners of death sentence in the country and they could also request the president to send reference for them.
He said that the president belongs to all not a single political party as he was a symbol of   federation. The CJ said all the citizens were equal in the eye of president.
Babar Awan said the court was bound to comply with the president directions if he sent a reference.
